A worthwhile short day hike off Kabetogama to take when the fish aren't biting :) Very nice hike on a nice path, though the granite can be very slick when wet. A few short ups and downs, but nothing stressful. Nice overlooks along the path, and beautiful views of a couple nice marshes. Very 'moosey' area, though we saw none. Locator lake is very pretty, though the portage ends @ a colony of about 15 canoes and jon boats available for reservation. No one was at Locator when I visited on my day hike.
