Vern's right again - this one got abused by the fire and the regrowth - I fell hard once because I could not see my footing. I was also continually worried that I was off the path - fortunately spotting an old blaze from time to time, reassuring me for at least a few more paces...repeat, for 600 m. Surprised that other burn areas were flagged but this one was not (other than flagging at the north end landing). Just a few blazes. Hard work here!

A challenging portage made MUCH worse by the fires. Very hard to find and almost impossible to follow without a GPS track with blowdowns, new growth and grasses. Once you find the route it's still there but small detours may be required due to fallen trees. See photos below.
