I agree with Vern's comments. Steep climb either up or down (depending which way you are paddling) on the Hammerhead side. The outfitters have a rope set up to help. This was burned in 2021 but it seems most of the deadfall has fallen over. The outfitters keep it cleaned with chainsaws.

VERY steep climb from north to south. It is now completely burned and there is even a handline to assist a potentially muddy climb! In good shape considering but caution required if wet.
