Some elevation gain from Indian House but generally a forested hike pretty clearly marked and easy to follow. Might be slightly more difficult to locate from North Prairie Lake.

The fires over the years did not burned this area, so the portage is easy to follow. I marked both entrances with tree blazes, so they are easy to find. A nice walk through the woods. I did not find any trees down in 2022. The entrance on Indian House Lake has a boat cache, so it is very easy to find.
