I agree with the other comments. Beautiful sand beach on the west side. I handsaw cleaned up the portage in 2021. It had numerous trees down but it is now passable in one go (if that is your thing).

While not as straight as the line on PaddlePlanner's map, this is about as easy as a 1km portage can be. Saves ~8 miles compared to paddling south on Kilburn, and worth it. We 1.5 portaged it and were through in 45 minutes.
