Steep ridge to climb on the north side. Rest of portage is easy walking. Wide open due to 2016 fire. Lots of blueberries found on the 2019 Sept. long weekend. 2023 Update: I spent some time cleaning up this portage from the waist high jack pine that are growing back thick from the 2016 fire. Amazing how quick they grow back. Much easier to find and walk. Only a couple of bigger trees that need a chainsaw to remove.
