This portage burned again from the fire of 2021 and has made it harder. I found the south entrance and built a rock cairn, but found many down trees that had to be climbed over. Too many for a handsaw. The rock cairns on the open rock outcrop can still be found, but I lost the trail after 200 m when travelling north. I ended up following my GPS and the path of least resistence through the burn. This portage will need to be re-built with chainsaws and flagging tape.

475 on hardcopy map. This portage burned up and needed some love as it was very hard to follow the first time through. We built and re-built several cairns and retied some old surveyor's ribbon, and cleared some obstructions, just so we could find our way through it again. It is much better now!
