This portage was not burned by the 2021 fire, but the south side of the portage is blocked by a few giant red pines that came down in the last wind storm. Needs a chainsaw or someone with a lot time to handsaw these thick trees out of the way. The bush is thick here so it takes some extra time to go around. This river does not seem to be used much, so that is also not helping. The 2021 fire also missed the large Park sign that is approximately 100m south and west of this portage on the tip of the peninsula.
