This is a very tricky portage to find on the south side due to the 2021 fire and lack of use. The shoreline is low lying scrub brush while the rest of the forest is burned. There is no worn out path in the shoreline due to lack of use. I marked it with flagging where I think it is. Once you find the portage it is easy to follow. I cleaned it up with a handsaw in 2022 and added some more rock cairns. The north portage entrance is as advertised and is very steep. Be careful if you are doing this on a rainy day.
