The portages between Jake and Mexican Hat are a mix of OK to Not Great thanks to the 2016 burn trees falling down. See photos for details.

This portage is two short 90m and 60m paths as marked on the WCPP Chrismar Map and are both found on the south side of the creek. They were both cleared in the May 2021.
