*2024 Update*: Yup...more burnt dead trees came down. I cleaned it the best I could with a handsaw in 2024 and made it passable, but I am sure that will change over the next few years. Both entrances are well marked with rock cairns. Not many paddlers have used this portage since I last travelled it. 2022: This portage was burned in the 2021 fire, but the trail is still visible and easy to follow. I cleaned it up with a handsaw in 2022, but expect more trees to come down over the next few years. Both ends are now clearly marked and easy to find.
