I agree with Vern. This is a up and down portage with some steep climbs on the north end. This portage has fire damage and now the jackpine are growing back thick / eye level, so you have to pay attention to where the path is. I don't think it is used much by the outfitters/fishermen. The cached boat at the south end has not been moved recently. I recall only having to cut a couple of trees out of the way.

This portage is well maintained by the local outfitter. Despite going through a recent burn it was easy to find and navigate. Climbs and descends quite a bit.
