The 2021 forest fire made the longest portage in WCPP more difficult. I was able to find the old portage trail, it just had many burned trees down that required a lot of cutting. In 2024, I cleaned it up the best I could with a handsaw, marked it with orange flagging (why does the Park use blue?), and added some stone cairns. The fire did not burn all the trees, so many are still falling over. Bring a handsaw. Both ends are now marked with orange flagging, so should be easier to find.
