This portage was in rough shape when I went through. Many downed trees. It has been a number of years since it last saw a chainsaw. It was burned in 2018, so all the standing burnt dead trees are now falling over and the jack pine saplings are getting taller. I spent some time making it passable with a handsaw and marking the way with rock cairns. Only some bigger trees to step over. The west end is marked with a rock cairn. I recall the east entrance being marked with tree blazes and orange flagging tape.
