Thick burn area but it's been kept clear by park staff and other travelers. As an example of the nature of these trails through the burns, I cleared half a dozen trees on our way into the park with my handsaw and when we came through 10 days later on return I had to clear another few trees already! Come prepared. I measured this at closer to 350 meters.

Easy to find on the north side. Look for the stone cairn. A lot of fire deadfall is starting to fall down and the post fire tag alder is getting thick in some spots. I cleaned and re-flagged in late summer 2020 so should be easy to follow. The plus of the big fire is the abundance of blueberries in late summer. Many on this portage.

Mostly easy, couple of short mucky sections (ankle deep, with some corduroy) in west half. (measured at 360 metres)
