A short but tricky portage on river right. We had to use tree roots to balance our way just above a raging river below. Easy enough, but significant consequence if you slip. Don't slip.

Portage was a bit shorter at 55m, I believe this may be due to the low water levels allowing be to get closer because of low upstream water flow. It is a very steep take-out, so much so I slipped and slid up to my neck in water and luckily had my canoe tied up and was able to pull myself out of the current. Had to setup a secondary rope to hold onto, dragged the canoe up.

Like all the portage in this section of the river, it can be found on the east side of the river. A short portage that I cleaned up and marked in August 2020. The burned trees from 2016 are starting to rot out and fall over.
