This portage has a nice landing under some white cedars which is easily spotted from the water to the right of the outflow creek. The trail is a short and gentle uphill jaunt to a beaver dam and is in good condition. There is a small creek to cross, which is just a step-over unless the water is high. Agawato Lake is quiet, beautiful and somewhat secluded. It contains largemouth, smallmouth and pike. There is a campsite on the point toward the Southwest.
