This portage was not nearly as bad as advertised. The Oyster River landing is a muddy mess but not that big of a deal. There is a bit of a climb coming out of the river. The path is in good shape. It would be less fun if wet. There are some soft spots. It is worth the effort to go up to Ge-be-on-e quet. This is a beautiful, lightly traveled route. There is a beautiful sandy beach on the Lake Agnes side.

This one will test you. It's not super long but it can feel like it, with some good ups and downs. Could be challenging if wet or muddy. Take your time and bring a snack and water for when you finish. The Oyster River side is pretty muddy but I was able to pull the canoe up pretty far in calf-deep water.

I used this one in the rain so it was very wet. Pay attention to the pictures. The Oyster river end juts out into a floating mat/boggy area for 50? ft There are multiple opportunities for post-holing up to your knees. Try an stick to the logs and take your time. Easiest entry was all the way out to the end.

There were several spots along the trail that had accumulated some moisture creating some muddy spots. Mostly nothing to get to worried about. But you had to watch your step at the Oyster river end, as it can be very sloppy. The Agnes end is a nice sandy beach.
