I did not walk the full 506m as the water was low, there was a 12m portage over a rock before the 85m portion (end of the 506m portage) which is to the left of the falls. At the time I didn't understand why there was a portage starting before the 12m portage, looking back I realized the 12m portage would likely be underwater early in the season and not passable in high water and the current. The most challenging part was navigating the low water from the 12m portage to the 85m portion. Likely not an issue earlier in the season.
