An easy and level portage along the rapids. Scenic and both landings are good. This area sees heavy use so there is little to no brush along the trail. However the Moose River both north and south of here is shallow and weedy, so it's slow going. There is a beaver dam that requires a lift-over near this portage.

Fall is a bit of a messy time of the year to visit the Moose River. Everything is weedy, shallow, and mucky. This portage was flat and not overly challenging.

Really nice, clean, flat portage. 92 rods goes by fast as you listen to the rapids next to the trail.
