Going from Ottertrack to Ester seemed like it took forever just going up and up. Well maintained and not difficult, just seemingly nonstop going up until the drop to Ester. Going back the climb from Ester is steep to start but then downhill the rest of the way.

Some uphill areas heading toward Ester. We didn't have mud, but conditions had been pretty dry. Overall, nothing major to worry about on this well maintained trail.

Can be steep at times from Ottertrack to Ester, but nothing too crazy. Coming around the corner to see the Ester water is an incredible sight.

Uphill and some twists and turns from Otter to Ester but well worn and easy.

A well worn portage, no obstacles besides mud spots from use.

A few mud spots but a fairly easy portage that's well maintained.

Climb to Ester is long with a little mud, but not bad overall. Good landing on both sides. From Ester to Ottertrack is down hill and not bad

A bit steep climbing up. Ester was a really pretty lake though. Landing on the Ester end was nice.

Steep, rocky climb from Ottertrack up to Ester. The trail can be muddy at the top.
