Lots of muddy spots. Plenty of places to slip. The boards help. It isn't too bad but something to be ready for and take your time.

This is the famous "muddy portage". Depending on whether it has rained or the water levels, this can be a portage that has spots that can go over the ankle in mud. Other than that, there really are no issues with elevation. It's just the mud that is primarily found in the southern half of the portage
