Water must have to be fairly high for the 12-rod to even be visible; same story for the 65-rod listed on some maps. Otherwise, this portage is closer to 140 rods and fairly tough. There are spots of high brush, deceptive footing, and multiple downed trees without walk-arounds. On the Ramshead side it's accurately marked but tricky to see until you get close. On the Lamb side it's visible on the north side of the outflow.

if water levels are down your doing the 150 rod portage, its horrible for its size. Dont let the 12 rod fool you.
