A little bit of elevation gain. But nothing terrible. We did this in the rain, and it was ok.

Muck on this portage. Pretty flat and not hard. The landing on Papoose creek is nice.

Nice landing on Papoose creek end at the top end of a long standing beaver dam. Not a lot of elevation change, but it is an exceedingly rocky trail with a large mud hole about half ways across.

A muddy landing on Friday Bay, continued mudholes throughout much of the portage, and bugs make this portage seem longer than it is.
