Beautiful location at the south end of this portage. There is a huge rock, which we mistook for the put-in. Very tricky loading the canoe there because everything had to be carried 30 or 40 feet down the steep, bare rock slope. When paddling away we found the "real" put in just bit further south. When coming from the north, just continue following the ridge around a few bushes. After about 30 feet it gets down to an easier put in on flat ground.
