North end starts up steep, obvious rock slope. Miserable portage through bog. Varies from overgrown to knee deep bog mud. Fell over side ways many times with canoe as one leg would punch through mud. Trail is muddy ankle deep stream at times. Many blowdowns and generally hard to follow trail. Added flagging silver/pink tap on return trip sporadically.
