This is NOT a viable portage. It is totally impassible and has been that way for awhile. It was maintained years ago, evidence is there. But it now just a huge blowdown in the entire valley bottom. It should not be part of any route. Continue south on the Palisade then turn east. Those other portages are all exceptionally maintained so this portage doesn't buy you anything but misery and wasted time.
