Took this portage during very high waters. Landing on Knife is wide open, though rocky. The Eddy side is a little more cramped, and the water at the landing is pretty boggy - we caught a couple of leeches on our boots there. There are a couple of trails off this portage to see Eddy Falls from different angles. Very cool water fall, especially in high water conditions. The portage trail is well-kept, and in our experience, quite busy. It's definitely an elevation change, but overall not too bad of a climb (or descent), and never too steep.

Easy to spot from both sides. The Eddy side is good for 2 canoes, but could get crowded. Had a run in with a female snapper coming back from laying eggs up the hill. Massive creature. 1/5

Portage follows along a scenic waterfall that receives a lot of traffic. We spotted a moose swimming across the small bay on the SAK lake side.

Nice little portage out of Eddy. We made it here fairly early in the morning and had no problems with the walk through. Steep landing on the West end, but not terribly difficult.

water was high, and slightly flooding portage. nice easy walk. uphill a slight it out of Eddy
