A little sloppy, a little tricky. It rained a little bit right before so it was pretty muddy this day.

Bingshick side of the portage was a sloppy mess on our visit. We had to carry the gear/canoes by hand for the first 5 rods before we could get decent enough footing to load up.

When I crossed this portage the water levels were quite high and it had been raining pretty good that day. Maybe take those factors away & I might give this portage a better rating? Though, the steep climb out of Glee will be there regardless of recent precipitation. The trail levels off nicely after that but was very soggy. The put in at Bingshick was an adventure. It was exceedingly mucky the last 3-4 rods nearest the lake. Sank one knee deep into mud. (fortunately there was a tree that supported my weight to grab onto or I would've gone down deeper.) I wound up gathering several dead limbs and branches and putting them down to support my weight
