Surprisingly easy (though wet)landing to find on the Portage river. Starts off as a boot sucking bog walk but quickly gives away to a solid, albeit somewhat twisty and rocky, trail as you work your way to Duck lake. The path was faint & somewhat overgrown but, still, quite easy to follow. Trail terminates at a pronounced granite knob on the shore of Duck lake.
