Easy as it gets for a portage of this length. Flat and straight, not much technicality.

Took us a few minutes to locate it due to a mismarked map, but once we found it it was smooth walking. Wide and flat... hard to ask for an easier ~140 rods. Sandpit landing was a bit buggy, I spose.

Muddy in spots without the boardwalk, otherwise a level old rail bed.

Worried that the length would be a challenge, but it was really flat and the boardwalk is a game changer on the north end. Fisher F-10 has it as 180 R.

Not a hard portage but was busy. Two other groups on the portage with us.

We felt really bad for another group at this portage. When we showed up, there was a girl scout group just landing. They had so much gear and most of it was too heavy for the girls. The leaders were taking the portage 3 times each. We offered help, but no avail. They were in for a long trip. Portage is a little messy, but not bad.

Nice flat trail. Thank goodness there is a boardwalk through the north end of trail.

The portage is located on the exposed rock ledge peninsula on the Tin Can Mike side. Easy flat portage that can be muddy in areas.

Portage was easy to find. NE corner of Sandpit. The last little bit coming from Sandpit is a narrow boardwalk. Watch the nails sticking out of the boards.

We had difficulty finding this portage... not sure why. It is more along the south-east side vs. on the north-east side. There was a landing area ont he NE corner of the lake and a trail.... but its not the correct trail, and it led no-where.
