The climb out of Meeds isn't severe but, it is the worst on this trail - which is mostly just a rolling pathway. Incredible number of annoying boulders along the way. There are a few boardwalks but, it's still a somewhat muddy ordeal. A scenic little brook cut across the trail at about the mid-point. Some nice pines on the swallow end.

This portage was quite muddy after the rains, but I really love the Swallow end with all the big white pines lining the portage.
