Somewhat difficult, unsuspecting. Good bit of climb from both sides. Thank goodness the one from Sandpit to Tin Can Mike is so easy!

I've been on this portage several times, so be prepared for a climb. Once you make the climb the rocky trail is much easier.

This one has received the nickname "Heart Attack Hill" by the group I went with. It is steep!

Where Tin Can Mike to Sandpit is flat, Sandpit to Mudro is not! Uphill when travelling east to west, watch your footing when wet. I didn't pay attention to the elevation prior to this portage, so was surprised by how steep it was.

One of the steepest portages of our entire trip - 3rd or 4th most difficult. We certainly were tired on our last day, but this one packs a punch on both sides. West side was stinky and buggy.

Rugged portage. First of the trip so it may have seemed harder than it really was.

My review here is a little biased since we were only taking a day trip and were packed insanely light as a result. A little rocky, but not bad.

From Sandpit to Mudro it's a steep rugged portage that's well maintained and short

Trail very rocky, hard to navigate especially on the west half of the portage.
