Kind of a tight jumbled landing on Newfound - at least it's shallow water. Trail climbs up immediately and there is a decent hill. However, the trail was in excellent condition and is short enough that you surmount the hill and head back down before working up much of a sweat. The landing on Skull is very constricted and will likely be buggy in warmer months. There are no designated campsites on Skull but, there is a nice spot to pull off (if needed) to get out and stretch just left from the landing on the tiny peninsula. Also, there is a very scenic ridge in the west corner of the lake.
