Acceptable landings on both ends, and a well traveled path. Some rocks along the rolling hills but nothing severe. We had to wait for a couple of groups to clear this carry in the morning, it sees a lot of use.

Easy footing on an up-and-over portage. This trail is in good shape. 8/26/22 edit - definitely easier going Gaskin to Horseshoe, but still just a typical 100 rod portage with good footing.

Snow was startint to turn to slush around here which made it slippery. Awesome, old white pines distracted me from portaging at times. Cool place.

This one will get your heart pumping. The Horseshoe end is a little deep and rocky and has a steep uphill for about 1/4th the way across. After that it levels out and drops slightly towards the Gaskin end. The Horseshoe side also has a signficant drop to the north side of the trail so be careful on the rocks on the trail.

Portage is easier from Gaskin to Horseshoe than vice-versa. Some very old white pines and cedars along the portage.
