Swampy, messy little portage. Also, there is a huge moose trail just to the east. Don't fall for it! The portage is a bit beyond and maybe a little smaller. Poor landing on the Carl side. I did find a fishing rod though.

The take-out is a little steep but not too difficult to negotiate. About 5 rods into the portage, the trail heads through some swampy ground. There are a couple tricky spots where the footing is poor just before you put the canoe in above the beaver dam.
