It's odd that I traveled this portage five days after the previous commenter and I don't recall it being difficult to follow. I found all three of these racers' portages to be well-maintained and easy to follow given how little use they must receive,

This portage feels much more remote than it is. It's brushy and overgrown and the trail all but disappears in the marshy stretches. We got through fine, though the north landing is really tough.

Landing at the Gillnet end is rocky and tough. Landing at the Pickerel end is shallow, reedy and full of leeches, but there's lots of room to maneuver. Portage is in good shape for one that gets little use.
