Over 400m of nothing but muck and water. Of course It had been raining all day when I went through. Just be prepared for wet, muddy feet.

Very tough portage. if heading north it starts about 80 yards west of the river and soon disappears into a bog then beaver dam. Walk possibly through knee high water to the dam then across the entire top of the beaver dam in order to pick up the trail on the very far side. We assumed that we had missed the real portage and spent forty minutes backtracking before finally locating the remainder of the trail to the left at the very end of the dam

This and the next portage can be combined into one to save time. You just have to wade across the small body of water seperating the two, also there is a spot with fallen down logs everywhere in an open area (seems to be an old burn) that is difficlut to traverse.
