Same as others' comments...this was my fifth time through these narrows over several years and water conditions, have never had to use the portage.

Been across this several times and never had to portage. Excepting very low water events, you should be able to plow right through.

Portage is only required in low water conditions. We were able to paddle through easily.

High water permitted us to paddle through w/o having to portage. No appreciable current. Large rocks to avoid under the surface.
