Good portage with nice landings at both ends. There is a small section on the Hamburg end that has some slippery rocks and mud, but then the trail is dry and with good footing for the remainder of the path. There is a significant elevation gain going from Oriana to Hamburg with a couple steep climbs. The portage runs alongside Oriana Creek which has some nice cascades and a small falls near the Hamburg end.
