Evidence that, once again, taking the shorter portage isn't always the wise choice. Mucky and weedy on either end, and just plain mucky through the middle. We should have taken the western portage into the same bay and saved some paddling time.

Marginal landing on Q side, but easy portage otherwise.

Really hard to find the south/BH entrance - it was well hidden in the weeds. But otherwise easy portage.

Flat, easy portage. A bit mucky on the south side - the kind of muck that just doesn't come off. There is an alternative landing to the east (you really have to look for it) of the main landing, which is a little less muddy, but you'll have to bush whack back to the main portage as the trail isn't much more than a lightly used game trail.

Good approach from Cirrus, muddy/clay on the south side (bay from Quetico). Short portage that is much easier than 5113 to the west.
