If we'd had an aluminum canoe instead of our kevlar, we would have tried running this, especially in the warm water of late summer. Simple little transfer of gear across a bare rock face.

We just tied a rope to the canoe and walked the shore. The shorter portage route also has much harder landings on both ends. If you want to portage, another 30 yards of walking over a flat rock is a small price to pay for an easier loading/unloading IMO.

This looked to me like Class I and might be runnable if you're coming from upstream. Otherwise, the obvious route is just to follow the rock slab around the rapids. Alternatively, you could go through the campsite, this route is also very easy and maybe a bit shorter.

You could portage here, but no one does. Everyone portages East of the campsite, at the narrowest portion of the rocky peninsula separating the two lakes. (Where the portage line is drawn is MUCH longer, and people take the shorter route.)
