Pretty easy walk, although I twisted an ankle while looking ahead to figure out how I was going to step down a rock face while making a turn.

This portage is to the right of the falls looking south. On the map there is a second we walker the canoe through in low water.

Easy portage. Take out on Bud is on the West side of the mouth. After put in on Fern there is another section that will need to be lined down. It is shallow, wide, and rocky. You may be able to slip down in high water or in a tough canoe but I baby my Kevlar. Plus it was hot out and I needed to cool off anyway. I looks like there may be a portage along the shore but does not seem necessary unless you are doing this in December.

Gravel beach landing at the south end, rock slab at the north end. The trail is easy.
