Not much new to add from the other reviews except that there are at least a couple splits in the path with short loops back to the main trail. These must be used in higher water. It really is one of the prettier portages with many views of the river running alongside.

This is a somewhat difficult portage with lots of ups and downs and meanders as it follows the Pickerel River. This makes the portage seem much longer than the 950m listed. Looks like some people have put in between the 2 sets of rapids that bookend this portage. Not sure if this is feasible or not.

Rocky landings at both ends. The trail has some rocky sections, some up and down, some short steep sections, but is dry throughout. Average difficulty overall. (Coming from the east, when you reach the small bay, stay on the trail and keep going - you're not at the end yet, but almost.)

Lots of ups and downs, some parts brushy, Olifaunt end is awkward due to rocks on shore and in the water. Went through here at 3 or 4 times since 1995 and I still dread it. The only joy of this portage is getting to beautiful Olifaunt Lake.
