Did this portage once in either direction; on the way from Jean to Burntside, there was a strong onshore wind; combined with the steep rocky takeout, it was a challenge to unload the canoe while keeping it from getting bashed on the rocks. On the way back, it was calm and much easier. Other than a few muddy spots, an easy straightforward portage.
