We hit this one with thunder rumbling in the distance behind us and knew it was time to throw down the hammer and get back to our campsite on Cummings. The portage wasn't bad, but the beaver dam made it a little longer.

The portage seems to start in earnest about 10 feet beyond the beaver dam on the Korb side. We slid up next to the dam and unloaded while standing on the dam. We didn't see a better landing further along the shore. Once you're on dry land, the portage is short and easy.

Beaver dam at Korb River end. Jumble of boulders at both landings. Otherwise just a level trail that shoulders the small stream.

On the landing on the Cummings side there are a couple of rocks to navigate around in the water, but it isn't too bad. The portage is short. When we went through, the water was high. A section of the portage near the Korb River side was completely submerged.
