This one is certainly hard. From the west, it goes up. Then it goes up again. And once more for good measure. Believe I got through single-carrying in about 15 minutes as the sun was setting. Emergency Margaritas were engaged on Woodside. Be prepared!

One of the hardest portages in Quetico that I've done in about 10 years of trips. Overgrown trail due to how remote and little travelled the area is. Several steep areas, lots of rocks and roots. When we were in the area in early June 2023 the portage hadn't been cleared yet, and it was pretty difficult to follow in spots. We never got lost, but it's definitely a portage where you'll have to pay close attention to follow the trail, especially early in the season before the portage gets cleared. Very remote area, and this portage epitomizes that remoteness.
