Definitely not a paddle through this year. Portage is rocky but makes up for it by being short.

Ditto to the other comments. Easy float through both ways. Watch for bobbers on the bottom end if there are people fishing from the first site in Brule.

Couldn't find this entrance and the stream bypassing the portage is around the corner and looks like a woody dead end from the lake. Took the stream, will give the bottom of you craft a test it is shallow, might have to get out. At end there is a short over the hill trail to South Cone.

This was a complete float through for us. The water was a little high, but not that high, so I suspect it is a float through any time there's a decent amount of water.
