Coming from Beaverhouse, you'll have to line the rapids to get to the portage in high water. Going back to Beaverhouse, I've never had a problem paddling them. In high water, the landing on the Beaverhouse side is a mess of clay, sticky and slippery. Be careful going down the hill from Quetico Lake.

short easy portage. Gets lots of use but the rose bushes are growing in. But no sweat.

A bit of rapids before the portage. Going east you may wish to walk canoe in if you don’t have river experience and you are just starting your trip. For us we base camped so on way out we enjoyed the little bit of rapids. A flip wouldn’t have been so bad at trip end. The trail itself had a few spots that were rocky and may twist an ankle of your not watching for them. Mostly an easy portage past a scenic small falls.

Nice, flat portage - fairly easy. There are 2 landings on the west end. The 2nd one (the most easterly) is less muddy). If going west to east, be prepared for a decent current flowing out of Quetico River into Beaverhouse - may be a good idea to get out and walk the canoe up the riffles.
