Slightly technical due to rocks dispersed throughout the portage, muddy in several spots (after lots of rain this spring), but overall pretty easy for the length. Landing on the S.Temp side was a little tough solo but not bad.

Yes, this is a pretty long. However, as said in other reviews, it is a well worn trail without any huge climbs. Landings are nice and there is some good scenery along the way. Take your time, try to single portage and this will be over before you know it! 7/10

Long, flat, and a little brushy for us. We got the unfortunate opportunity to do this portage twice in a three hour window thanks to being turned back from Weird. The creek stays on the east side of the portage and provides a nice scenic backdrop.

This is one of the easier long portages in the bwca. No big elevation differences. Loading and unloading on Temperance is a little tough as it is a little bit of an up to get onto / off the portage.

Not fun with a heavy aluminum canoe. Much more difficult as one of the last portages of the day, but starting out as the first portage of the day, it is much more manageable. Would be nice with a light canoe.

You'd be hard pressed to find an easier 225 rod portage! Completely dry the entire way when we were there, nice wide trail and landing near South Temperance.

Tough portage with a lot of gear or heavy gear- mostly due to length. Did have spots of unavoidable ankle-deep mud water. Glad it wasn't any longer! Landings were both nice.

A good leg stretcher on a well worn trail. There's elevation changes along the way, as well as the usual rocks & roots, but the length is the primary obstacle. Could be wet in certain areas, during high water.

Going out of South Temperance, this was a long but easy portage. It felt pretty flat, so I doubt it is any worse going the other way, even though that is technically uphill.
